Foreign policy and international relations
Despite being a very small country both in terms of area and population, Israel has a prominent position in international politics especially in the Middle East. This is mainly due to its influence on the United State, which provides financial and military aid. It also has a very high trained and skilled military, which has defeated numerically larger enemies in the past. A large number of high tech defense equipment have been developed by Israel , which are also exported to other countries.
Israel has political and economic relations with most countries in America , Europe and East Asia. However, due to the many wars, it does not have trade with many of its neighboring Arab countries. Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Yemen are considered enemy countries and Israeli citizens cannot visit them without prior permission. However, Israel has signed peace treaties with Jordan and Egypt
